Hal Hinkle, Chief Executive Officer of BamCore (Global Bamboo Technologies Inc.), brings extensive experience and deep commitment to combating climate change. Through his multifaceted career spanning finance, academia, and sustainable entrepreneurship, Hal leads BamCore's mission to revolutionize construction with innovative, carbon-negative solutions that harness the world's fastest-growing structural fibers.
Before joining BamCore, Hal spent 22 successful years at Goldman Sachs, then led a global online bond exchange for five years. In 2004, he shifted his focus to climate change by founding a non-profit foundation focused on environmental education.
His academic background showcases his multifaceted expertise. As a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, he earned his PhD in Neuroscience from Columbia Medical School. He also holds an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Columbia Business School and a BS in Biochemistry (Cum Laude) from UC Irvine.
Following his academic pursuits, Hal returned to California to develop an organic, climate-conscious vineyard and winery in Sonoma County. This venture introduced him to BamCore's innovative building solutions, sparking his interest in bamboo's potential for carbon sequestration in construction.
As a certified University of California Climate Steward, Hal continues advancing sustainable practices. His combination of business expertise, scientific knowledge, and environmental commitment positions BamCore as a leader in carbon-negative construction technology.
