BamCore's pioneering team is dedicated to transforming the construction industry through carbon-negative, deforestation-free building systems, industrialized construction and advanced custom prefabrication technology.

Hal Hinkle, Chief Executive Officer of BamCore (Global Bamboo Technologies Inc.), brings extensive experience and deep commitment to combating climate change. Through his multifaceted career spanning finance, academia, and sustainable entrepreneurship, Hal leads BamCore's mission to revolutionize construction with innovative, carbon-negative solutions that harness the world's fastest-growing structural fibers.

Before joining BamCore, Hal spent 22 successful years at Goldman Sachs, then led a global online bond exchange for five years. In 2004, he shifted his focus to climate change by founding a non-profit foundation focused on environmental education.

His academic background showcases his multifaceted expertise. As a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, he earned his PhD in Neuroscience from Columbia Medical School. He also holds an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Columbia Business School and a BS in Biochemistry (Cum Laude) from UC Irvine.

Following his academic pursuits, Hal returned to California to develop an organic, climate-conscious vineyard and winery in Sonoma County. This venture introduced him to BamCore's innovative building solutions, sparking his interest in bamboo's potential for carbon sequestration in construction. 

As a certified University of California Climate Steward, Hal continues advancing sustainable practices. His combination of business expertise, scientific knowledge, and environmental commitment positions BamCore as a leader in carbon-negative construction technology.

His vision for BamCore embodies his dedication to merging cutting-edge technology with environmental stewardship, creating a more sustainable future for the construction industry.

As Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of BamCore, Zack is a visionary leader in sustainable construction, driving innovation to address critical industry challenges. His focus is on pioneering next-generation custom prefabricated construction solutions, harnessing the potential of rapidly renewable Eucalyptus and timber bamboo to revolutionize framing systems.

With nearly two decades of experience in business development and strategic growth, he has been instrumental in developing framing solutions that significantly accelerate construction cycles, reduce labor requirements, increase efficiencies, and minimize waste. BamCore's patented framing systems and LOBIC technology are transforming approaches to low-rise and mid-rise construction.

Under his leadership, BamCore has achieved remarkable growth, doubling revenue in 2023 and again in 2024, with projections for tenfold expansion between 2025 and 2026. The company's innovative framing systems have demonstrated the ability to halve construction time with smaller crews while minimizing waste and maximizing energy efficiency in buildings.

He has successfully forged strategic alliances with premier commercial builders across the United States, leveraging his expertise in sales strategy, market expansion, and sustainable innovation. As CCO and Co-Founder, he is dedicated to decarbonizing the construction industry while addressing its most pressing challenges. BamCore's planet-positive engineered framing systems not only meet but exceed customer expectations for speed, efficiency, and durability.

His contributions to the industry have been widely recognized, including being named one of Autodesk's Top 40 Under 40 Champions of Construction in 2023. He holds a BS in Business and Marketing and a BS in Business Strategy from Sonoma State University, providing a strong foundation for his role in driving BamCore's mission to revolutionize sustainable construction practices.

Zack Zimmerman

As Chief Operating Officer of BamCore, Ioanna Georgitsopoulou is a dynamic leader with over 15 years of experience in design, construction, project delivery, and operational transformation. Passionate about driving innovation in sustainable building solutions, she specializes in industrialized construction, seamlessly integrating design, engineering, and manufacturing to enhance efficiency and scalability.

At BamCore, Ioanna oversees business operations, optimizing production planning, technology integration, and project execution to accelerate the company’s mission of revolutionizing construction with high-performance, bio-based solutions. She ensures strategic alignment across teams, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Before joining BamCore, Ioanna held executive leadership roles in modular and panelized construction, including VP of Design & Project Management at Connect Homes and VP of Project Management at Plant Prefab. She has led large-scale off-site construction projects, implemented lean methodologies to streamline production, and spearheaded enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance decision-making.

An advocate for continuous improvement, Ioanna is pursuing a Six Sigma Black Belt and has introduced industry-leading frameworks for master scheduling, quality assurance, and enterprise technology adoption. She has played a pivotal role in developing new product offerings, strengthening financial performance, and building high-performing teams through strategic workforce planning and leadership development.

With a background in architecture and advanced studies in emerging systems, technologies, and digital fabrication, Ioanna bridges the gap between design innovation and scalable construction methods. She is dedicated to advancing sustainable and industrialized construction, leveraging her expertise to propel BamCore’s growth and industry leadership.

Ioanna holds a Master of Design Research in Emerging Systems, Technologies & Media from SCI-Arc, a BSc & MSc in Architecture Engineering from the University of Patras, and executive education in AI & Business Strategy from MIT Sloan & CSAIL. She is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).

Ioanna Georgitsopoulou

As Chief of Staff and Chief Sustainability Officer, Kate is a mission-driven executor, helping revolutionary businesses succeed in delivering sustainable solutions to the market that combat climate change. At BamCore she works cross-functionally, focusing on efficiency, storytelling and data-driven decision making across all areas of the business. 

Starting her career in management consulting, Kate worked at Accenture where she honed in her business acumen and problem-solving skillset while gaining exposure to a wide array of sustainability projects, ranging from her role as the Salesforce business unit’s Go-to-Market Lead for Net Zero Cloud to the head of a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative targeting climate education in local communities. It was here where Kate’s passion for sustainability was born and drove her to pursue Chief of Staff roles at startups committed to addressing climate change.

While at BamCore, Kate has bolstered the company’s sustainability assets and position as a thought leader in sustainable construction. She spearheaded and co-authored three peer-reviewed articles, published in the academic journal Sustainability, that analyze the science behind BamCore’s unmatched decarbonizing building solutions. Serving as the company’s lead LCA practitioner, she led the effort to develop BamCore’s first ISO-compliant LCA and EPD, confirming that the bamboo-hybrid Prime WallTM panels are cradle-to-date carbon negative.

She holds a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, providing a strong foundation for her role as Chief of Staff in which she acts as a strategic partner to the CEO and other senior leaders. Kate is heavily involved in capital raising, leading BamCore’s Investor Relations function, and project management, overseeing key projects and tracking progress on strategic goals and initiatives.   

As CoS and CSO, she is driven to help BamCore achieve its mission of decarbonizing the built environment. In doing so, Kate hopes to transform the way we build while championing a data-driven approach to combatting the climate crisis.

Kate Chilton

As Chief Marketing Officer of BamCore, Tobe Sheldon leads the company's presence in pioneering carbon-negative building solutions. With over three decades of experience in environmental stewardship, resilience strategies, and business innovation, she drives marketing efforts to enhance brand engagement, And thought-leadership conversations that promote sustainable construction practices. Her focus is on executing strategies that align with BamCore's mission to decarbonize the built environment through rapidly regenerative materials.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology and completing an internship at the U.S. Geological Survey, Tobe pursued viticultural training in New Zealand and France. She gained valuable knowledge in sustainable winemaking and regenerative agriculture, which led to founding Sheldon Winery in 2003. She operated the winery until 2022, when she joined BamCore to contribute to climate initiatives through building decarbonization.

At BamCore, Tobe merges her environmental stewardship passion with marketing innovation expertise. She spearheads data-driven campaigns, brand development, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen BamCore's position in the green building industry. Her work at BamCore advances circular economy initiatives that balance ecological health, social equity, and economic sustainability while addressing climate change challenges.

Tobe Sheldon

CMO

David is the General Counsel of BamCore.  In his role, David oversees all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the Company.  He has had a life-long interest in construction, building projects, and real estate and is enthusiastic about BamCore’s mission of developing innovative, superior construction solutions to decarbonize the built environment.  

David began his career as an attorney with a large New York City law firm working on corporate, securities, and M&A matters.  He subsequently served in General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer roles for both Sotheby’s International Realty, a leading international real estate company, and ICAP, the world’s largest provider of brokerage services to the global banks.  David brings significant experience in growth strategies, M&A, joint ventures, Intellectual Property, and international operations. 

David earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Mathematics from Rutgers University.

As the Director of Operations, I am dedicated to driving efficiency and excellence within organizations. With a robust background in operational management, I specialize in streamlining processes, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. My approach combines analytical rigor with innovative thinking, enabling teams to achieve their goals while delivering exceptional value to stakeholders.

Throughout my career, I have successfully led cross-functional teams in implementing operational strategies that align with business objectives. My commitment to data-driven decision-making and my ability to adapt to changing market conditions have been instrumental in achieving sustainable growth and operational excellence.

I am passionate about mentoring emerging leaders and cultivating a collaborative work environment that empowers individuals to thrive. As I continue to evolve in my career, I remain focused on leveraging my expertise to drive impactful change and contribute to the success of the organizations I serve.
Prior this current role, I worked for the Finish-Swedish Forest products company Stora Enso for 18 years serving various positions starting as a process engineer and closing the cycle as a plant manager in Raceland-LA. I also served as a plant manager at WY for 3 years in Castleberry-AL. During the period I have always focused on continuously improving results and processes and developing the team in the organization.

Amos’ academic credentials supports the professional development. He has a Bachelors certificate in Chemical engineer by Federal University of Parana, one specialization in pulp and paper manufacturing by University of Vicosa, of specialization in manufacturing plants management by Technical University of Parana, and an MBA by FGV in Brazil.

At Bamcore, Amos spearheads the production, supply chain, and logistics team driving operational excellence across the organization.

Toby Stults is a seasoned financial executive with a strong background in financial strategy, business growth, and operational leadership across wide-ranging industries at various stages of maturity. Currently, he plays a key role at BamCore, bringing expertise in finance and high-growth businesses, and is driven to help elevate the company to new heights. 

Prior to joining BamCore, Toby served as the Chief Financial Officer at Wray Community District Hospital in Colorado for 8.5 years, where he was instrumental in the hospital’s growth and revitalization. He also held a board position at Healthcare Management LLC until June 2024, stepping down upon accepting his new role with BamCore. Earlier in his career, Toby was the managing partner and CFO of a Denver/Boulder-based green cleaning company, guiding it from start-up to acquisition.

Toby holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Denver, along with a minor in Leadership through the DU Pioneer Leadership Program. Now based in Florida, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, chasing practices and games, playing golf, and exploring the outdoors.

Lucas Oshun brings 10 years of experience in timber and bamboo supply chain development, preceded by 8 years directing restoration forestry, environmental education, and community agriculture projects across Central and South America and the USA. His environmental ethos combines with practical insights on supply chain efficiency and market competitiveness. As a practicing agroforester specializing in fast-growing dense fibers, Lucas splits his time between Ecuador and his native Northern California, regularly visiting BamCore supply locations in Brazil, Florida, Ecuador, and other source countries.
