Kate Chilton
CoS and CSO
As Chief of Staff and Chief Sustainability Officer, Kate is a mission-driven executor, helping revolutionary businesses succeed in delivering sustainable solutions to the market that combat climate change. At BamCore she works cross-functionally, focusing on efficiency, storytelling and data-driven decision making across all areas of the business.
Starting her career in management consulting, Kate worked at Accenture where she honed in her business acumen and problem-solving skillset while gaining exposure to a wide array of sustainability projects, ranging from her role as the Salesforce business unit’s Go-to-Market Lead for Net Zero Cloud to the head of a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative targeting climate education in local communities. It was here where Kate’s passion for sustainability was born and drove her to pursue Chief of Staff roles at startups committed to addressing climate change.
While at BamCore, Kate has bolstered the company’s sustainability assets and position as a thought leader in sustainable construction. She spearheaded and co-authored three peer-reviewed articles, published in the academic journal Sustainability, that analyze the science behind BamCore’s unmatched decarbonizing building solutions. Serving as the company’s lead LCA practitioner, she led the effort to develop BamCore’s first ISO-compliant LCA and EPD, confirming that the bamboo-hybrid Prime WallTM panels are cradle-to-date carbon negative.
She holds a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, providing a strong foundation for her role as Chief of Staff in which she acts as a strategic partner to the CEO and other senior leaders. Kate is heavily involved in capital raising, leading BamCore’s Investor Relations function, and project management, overseeing key projects and tracking progress on strategic goals and initiatives.
As CoS and CSO, she is driven to help BamCore achieve its mission of decarbonizing the built environment. In doing so, Kate hopes to transform the way we build while championing a data-driven approach to combatting the climate crisis.
