DuoShear has an impressive load-bearing capacity ranging from 9,080 to 11,210 pounds per linear foot (PLF)—double the capacity of traditional 2×6 stud framing.

DuoShear achieves a remarkable 25.10 R-value when erected on a 2×6 plate. When expanded to a 9.25-inch cavity width, it increases insulation space to achieve a high 38 R-value.

With an extremely low framing factor of 6.67% the DuoShear framing system eliminates much of the cavity framing that causes thermal bridges and reduces lumber requirements.
